Get started on EndNote Online

Register for Web of Science  

EndNote Online is provided by the supplier Clarivate, who also supply the database collection called Web of Science.

So: the first step to getting an EndNote Online account is to register with Web Of Science. Registration is free.

You may already have such an account if you have been saving your Web of Science searches and using the alerts function.

If you have not, then here is how to register:

1. Log in to FindIt@Bham 

2. Click on ‘Database Search’ from the dashboard at the top of the screen.

3. In the search box type ‘Web of Science’.

4. Click on the top result ‘Web of Science (All Databases).

• Scroll down and click on 'Resource available at Web of Science (All Databases)' to open up Web of Science on-screen

5. At the top right-hand side of the screen click on the Register button.

6. At the next screen type in your University email address and click on 'Register'.

7. Create a password when prompted. NB: this does not need to be the same as your University password.

8. Accept the 'Terms and Conditions' text.

9. Activate your account from the verification email you have received. NB: check your junk or spam folder if this does not appear in your Inbox.

You should now be ready to create your EndNote Online account.

Create an EndNote Online Account

To create your EndNote Online account use the following steps:

 

1. Log in to FindIt@Bham 

2. Click on ‘Database Search’ from the dashboard at the top of the screen.

3. In the search box type ‘Web of Science’.

4. Select the top result ‘Web of Science (All Databases) and load the database.

5. Sign in to your 'Web of Science' account.

6. Click on 'Products' at the top right-hand side of the screen

7. A menu window will appear. From this select 'EndNote'

8. Your EndNote account screen should now open.  Accept Terms and Conditions as and when a prompt appears on-screen
