Downloading Junicode Font - Mac Users

To be able to transcribe special characters and medieval abbreviations, you will need to have the Junicode font on your machine. Here is a quick guide to setting up.

Where to get Junicode

First things first, click the URL link http://sourceforge.net/projects/junicode/files/ Links to an external site. to access the most recent version of Junicode.

Unzip file correctly

When the download is complete, you will find the folder containing the font in your downloads file.

Copy .ttf fonts into system fonts folder

You will need to copy the Junicode fonts into your Macintosh fonts library.

1. With Finder, open an adjacent window and search fonts. You may have several folders by the name of fonts – you need the Macintosh > Library > Fonts directory.

2. You can then copy the Junicode fonts folder into the Macintosh fonts library.

Junicode is now installed on your Mac's system fonts library.
