Aim of the Text Structure section

At the end of this section of the transcribing course you will

  1. understand how the transcription text is structured within Textual Communities, which is where we do our transcriptions for the Estoria de Espanna project;

  2. understand the terms text, body, column boundary, div, ab and rubric;

  3. understand how to open and close xml tags;

  4. understand what is meant by an 'empty element'.
