Marginalia and scribal changes - summary

Summary

As we have seen, manuscripts change over time, as scribes' work is corrected or modified. Some of these changes can be tagged in a straightforward manner with the marginalia tag.

If the word appears in the bottom margin, it may be a catchword (these are common in manuscript T, for example) indicating the first words of the next folio. You can always check the image of the next consecutive folio to be sure, but save your work before you change folios!
