Final Stages of a Transcribed Folio - Summary

The aims of this section were that you would:

1) Understand what to do when you think you have completed the transcription of a folio;

You should know you need to click save, and then preview to check if the folio parses.

2) Understand what is meant by the term 'parsing';

You should know that 'parsing' is when Textual Communities checks your tags are correct, and are included in the list of accepted tags for the Estoria de Espanna project.

3) Understand what some of the common errors are which prevent a folio from parsing, and how to deal with these.

You should know that the most common errors are leaving tags open, not closing nested tags in the correct order and not using tags from the list of accepted tags for this particular project. You should know that you need to carefully read the error message, go to the line it says, and examine your tags to see if you can identify and rectify the reason the folio will not parse.
