Pride Not Prejudice - Term Three Initiative
Post-event UpdatePlease note that the recordings from this event are now published on our Instagram channel here Links to an external site.. Event detailsAs you will see from the other pages on this site, the College of Arts and Law has been working hard on inclusive activity this academic year. Our flagship event supporting this has been a panel event called ‘Pride Not Prejudice’: the first event focusing on various identities, the second focusing on race, gender, and class. Due to the success of these initiatives, we are running a further virtual event this term! Detailed below are the five books that have been chosen for this event. As you can see they deal with themes of inclusivity and consider intersections around race, gender, sexuality, disability and mental health to name a few. We will have a panel member talking about themes/extracts/similar experiences for each book. This is the same format we used at Welcome and it was amazing to observe the synergies between speakers. All members of the university are invited to read one or more of the books and are welcome to attend. The event will take place on Wednesday 10th June 2020 at 2pm on Zoom.
