Teamwork

The ability to work well with others is required in most jobs and will often come up in job interviews.  However, saying you have good teamwork skills is not enough, you need to demonstrate your abilities and experience using real scenarios.  You should have ample examples of teamwork from your degrees, but it can also help to understand a bit of teamwork theory and good practice as well as take some time to reflect on your preferences and roles within a team.

Thinking back over different teams you have been in previously, this exercise might give you an insight into the team dynamics and why certain things did or did not happen.  An ideal team will have a range of styles and preferences, but even if that isn’t the case, being aware of your own and your teammates’ preferences can help you understand each other and work better together.
