Finding good quality sources

Now that you've gathered your resources, here are some things you should consider when checking the quality of your sources:

  • How up-to-date is the material?
  • Are the sources academic, reliable and good quality?
  • Who are the authors? Is there a possibility of bias?
  • Have journal articles been peer-reviewed (meaning have other experts checked the article before it was published)?

In the remaining sections in this module, we'll be looking at these issues in more detail in relation to different kinds of sources.
