Summary

University is different from school or college. You will experience an alternative way of learning and exploring the world.

You are not alone. You are just beginning a new and exciting journey. Do you remember when you started primary or secondary school? You did it then and can do it now. Everyone is in the same position, and you will have a new group of people ready to support you.

You will begin to develop a research-led learning mindset; challenging other people's discoveries and coming up with your own ideas. You may have the opportunity to work on a research project and discover new knowledge for yourself.

In the next module, you can look at how to participate actively in this new community - one which is dedicated to discovery.
