Pause for Thought 6: Create your Canvas Profile

Please update your personal Canvas profile page with a) a photo and b) your Job Title and Location

Step 1: From the black left hand navigation bar select the Account icon

Step 2: Click on the Profile link

Step 2: Click on the Head Icon

Now you need to decide what type of profile picture you want to use - uploaded picture, take a picture with your webcam or from Gravatar

Step 4 option: Upload a Picture from you Computer.

Click on the choose a picture link that now appears
Find the image you want to upload on your computer and click the Open button
Now go to Step 7

Step 5 option: Take a picture with your webcam.

Click the Take Picture button that now appears
Note: Depending on your browser, you may need to allow Canvas to access your camera. The Take a Picture option is not supported when using Safari or Internet Explorer.
Click the Retry button if you want to take another picture
Now go to Step 7

Step 6 option: Import from an existing Gravatar Links to an external site. account.

Step 7: Click the Save button to upload your profile picture or save your webcam picture.

Tips for profile pictures:

Please choose an appropriate picture to represent yourself.
Images should be square in size to prevent your picture from being resized or distorted.
Files can be any type (.jpg, .png, .gif)

Step 1: From within your Profile area locate and click on the Edit Profile button (top right hand corner)

Step 2: Within the Title area input you job title and location, eg. Joan Markus (Norfolk)

Step 3 optional: Complete the Biography area

Step 4: Click on the blue Save Profile button at the bottom of the page
