Abstract

This day will give an overview on how to use turning technologies such as polling in your teaching. The morning section of this day (9:30am-12:00pm) is targeted at staff who are at the beginning stages of using Turning Technologies in their teaching, or would like a refresher on the basics. There will also be a chance to look at case studies on good practice in the classroom, focusing predominantly on using the polling software Turning Point. Following this, there will be an hour lunch break from 12:00-13:00 where lunch will be provided by Turning Technologies. The afternoon section (1:00pm-4:00pm) will provide a space for more advanced functionalities to be demonstrated and tested by the participants, and welcomes staff wishing to advance their practice in areas such as web polling, scheduled polling, advanced question types and LMS integration.
