Focus - All CAL undergraduates

Content – Here we will help you to focus on the way successful essay writers communicate their ideas to their reader - how to join that community of student writers and feel that your essay deserves a place alongside these examples!

Preparation – Pick out at least three essays from the Bank of Assessed Work at your level (or higher!) that have scored highly on Presentation / Command of English.

What do you notice that they have in common, in terms of
- vocabulary choice
- signposting phrases
- top and tail of paragraphs
- the content of their introduction and conclusion?
Any other interesting points you would like to make about the features of these essays that make them easy to read / engaging / convincing?
